Privacy, plainly.
Effective 24 July 2026
The short version
Files and text you process with WithinTab stay in your browser. The current site has no payments, donations, account system, advertising scripts, behavioral analytics, or model API.
File processing
Selected files are read into your browser’s memory and processed by browser code. WithinTab does not intentionally transmit file contents or generated results to an application server. Closing or refreshing the tab clears in-memory work that you have not downloaded.
Local preferences
The site uses local browser storage to remember your favorite tools, language, theme, and timer-sound preference. These settings stay on your device and can be removed by clearing site data in your browser.
Hosting logs
Like nearly every hosted website, the hosting and security providers may temporarily process basic request information such as IP address, browser headers, requested path, and time for delivery, aggregate traffic measurement, reliability, and abuse prevention. The site owner does not receive the files or text handled inside a tool because they are not part of those requests.
Future changes
If payments, donations, analytics, ads, accounts, or optional cloud processing are introduced, this page and the interface will be updated before those features are enabled.
